International Women’s Day – New Season Trailer

Happy International Women’s Day!!

This year as we celebrate 100 years of women’s suffrage in so many countries, we will be honoring the work that has been done and the work that we still have to do to fight patriarchy and bias.

The hashtag being used for this year’s international women’s day is #balanceforbetter  and in this season of She Who Persisted we’re going to be looking at contemporary and historical ways that people have worked to create balance. From historians looking at the intersection of gender, labor and technology, to activists organizing to improve the lives of women, these people are persisting in their desire to create a better world for women and individuals experiencing discrimination, to fight the patriarchy, and to raise awareness of bias in all its forms. We’ll also be discussing books that raise our awareness of issues that we didn’t even know existed. Checking our unintended bias, and learning more about how we can be better allies is a huge reason that this podcast exists and we’re always looking for books and blogs that help us do that. We have a few books in mind, and have taken your suggestions to heart. If you have any additional ideas, please reach out to us on social media, either through our Facebook page She Who Persisted. The Nasty Podcast., the Facebook discussion group Persisters – The She Who Persisted Group, Instagram @shewhopersisted, twitter shepersistedpod, or via email at shewhopersistedpodcast@gmail.com

We hope you’ll join us in thinking about ways that you fight the patriarchy, resist and persist.

Stay Nasty!
