About SWP:

She Who Persisted is a biweekly feminist podcast created and hosted by Elizabeth Schreiber-Byers and Beatrice Frasl.

Why sponsor She Who Persisted? – 10 reasons

1.

Podcasts are having a moment. So is podcast marketing.

While traditional TV viewership is plummeting among younger generations, podcast consumption is on the rise.

2.

Podcast listeners are “loyal, affluent and educated”: in the US, 27% of podcast listeners have a college degree (vs 19% of the general population) and 45% of monthly podcast listeners have a household income of over $75K vs. 35% of the total population.

To put it simply, podcast listeners are more likely to buy what you’re selling than the average population.

3.

In the last 2 years podcast ad revenue has grown by double digits: from $69 million in 2015 to a projected $220 million in 2017.

4.

According to recent research podcast listeners are much more active on every social media channel (94% are active on at least one – vs 81% for the entire population), more likely to follow companies and brands on social media and 69% agreed that podcast ads made them aware of new products or services.

5.

While TV and traditional radio are impersonal, podcasts are known to be an “intimate” medium.  Podcast listeners tend to form a connection with podcast hosts. They like and trust hosts they listen to frequently.

You can trust us when we say: our listeners trust our recommendations.

6.

Just as podcasts are having a moment, so is feminism. In opposition and reaction to misogynistic political developments, the past few years have seen a new rise of feminist activism and feminist movements in popular culture, on the streets and on Twitter and Instagram. From Beyoncé performing in front of “FEMINIST” at the VMAS and dropping one feminist album after the other, to the women’s marches, to the “frauenvolksbegehren” in Austria, to the legalization of abortion in ireland to #metoo and #timesup.

What differentiates the current feminist wave from those before it: social media. Podcasts are one facet of that. By sponsoring a feminist podcast you can do good and we will let our listeners know that you do.

7.

She Who Persisted is a unique podcast in that it does not only combine very sensitive and intimate subjects with politics and pop culture and empathy with humor, it also combines an American perspective with an Austrian one. While most podcasts are very US-centric, ours is a lot more varied, both with regard to the subjects we choose and the perspectives we take and to our listeners.

Here are a few quick facts about our listeners:

  • Around 45% are based in the USA
  • Around 20% are located Austria and Germany
  • Around 10% live in the UK
  • Around 10% listen from Australia
  • We have listeners in every continent of the world
  • Approximately 60% of our listeners are women

As a sponsor of SWP you will have direct access to our varied and global listener base

8.

A lot of our content is “evergreen” – it is just as relevant now as it is will be in the future. For you, this means that our episodes will continue to be shared and listened to. That way, your ads will continue to be shared and listened to.

9.

Furthermore, She Who Persisted is a podcast dedicated to women’s rights, gender equality and social issues at a time where women’s rights and gender equality are under attack, not only in the US, but globally.

As a sponsor of SWP, you will support our important feminist work and we will let our listeners know that you do. Win/Win.
